Frequently asked questions
Quick answers for families exploring care or already enrolled. We will refine this page as we approach opening day—if anything here conflicts with your contract or provider handbook, those documents win.
-
What ages do you serve?
We typically offer programs for infants through preschool-aged children. Exact age ranges and classroom groupings vary by location and licensing capacity. When you register your child online, you can see which age groups are available at each location.
-
What are your hours?
Core program hours differ by location. Many families use full-day care; some locations also offer hourly or extended evening options where configured. Check your location’s page or call for the schedule that applies to you.
-
How do I join the waitlist or enroll?
Start from the Information Hub and complete your parent profile, then add or update your child’s information. From there you can work through enrollment steps and booking when spots are open. If you are unsure where you are in the process, contact the provider and staff can guide you.
-
How does billing and payment work?
Fees depend on location, age group, and the type of care you book (for example full day vs hourly). You can review published rates on our Costs page. Payment timing and methods may vary as we finalize launch operations; staff will confirm the exact process for your family before your first billing date.
-
What should my child bring each day?
Most families send a change of clothes, weather-appropriate outdoor gear, indoor shoes if requested, and any comfort items your child uses (such as a blanket or soother) per the provider’s guidelines. Label everything with your child’s name. Your location may send a first-day checklist before start.
-
How do you handle food, snacks, and allergies?
We provide nutritious snacks and meals according to our program. You will be asked to list allergies and dietary needs during registration so we can plan safely. A sample weekly menu is available from the Information Hub (meal menu); actual menus rotate with season and supplier.
-
What is your illness policy?
Children should stay home when they have a fever, vomiting, or symptoms of a contagious illness, and return when they are well enough for group care—often after they have been symptom-free for a period defined in our parent policies. This helps protect other children and educators.
-
Who can pick up my child?
Only adults you authorize in your registration and profile may pick up. Photo ID may be required at pickup. If someone new needs to collect your child, update your approved contacts ahead of time or call the provider so staff can verify the change safely.
-
How will you communicate with me?
We use your parent account for day-to-day updates where the program supports it, and staff are available for questions by phone or in person. For time-sensitive items (such as pickup changes), calling the provider directly is usually best.
-
Do you close for holidays or professional days?
Yes, the provider may close locations on statutory holidays, professional development days, or for inclement weather when required. Your location will share an annual calendar or notices as dates are confirmed. Bookings and billing may adjust around planned closures.
-
Can I book part-time or occasional care?
Availability depends on the location and age group. Our online booking flow shows open slots when you are logged in. Some programs prioritize full-time enrollment; ask the director if you need a recurring part-time pattern.
-
What qualifications do your educators have?
We hire qualified early childhood educators and staff according to provincial licensing rules. Team members receive orientation, first aid where required, and ongoing training. Ask your provider if you would like to know more about the lead teacher in your child’s room.
-
How is outdoor play handled?
Outdoor time is part of healthy development when weather and supervision allow. Send season-appropriate clothing and sunscreen or hat as directed by your provider’s policy. Staff will follow safe exposure guidelines for your child’s age.
-
How do I reset access if I change my phone number?
Parent sign-in is tied to your mobile number for verification. If your number changes, contact the provider so we can update your account securely. Until then you may not receive login codes at the new number.
-
Where can I get more detail before we start?
Read the Information Hub for policies and program overview, review Costs and Locations, and browse our sample meal menu if helpful. Still have questions? Call your preferred provider—we are happy to walk you through enrollment and your first weeks.
